Job summary

HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital is seeking a dynamic Labor & Delivery RN to join our team in Panama City, FL. You will provide compassionate care for obstetric patients, perform clinical assessments, and manage treatments autonomously within a collaborative, high‑quality care model.

You will collect patient data, advocate within the care team, and participate in routine deliveries and Cesarean sections, while ensuring patient safety and efficient use of time and resources.

Qualifications

• Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license
• BLS-AHA Provider card required within 30 days
• 1 year of RN experience in Labor & Delivery
• Neonate Resuscitation must be obtained within 30 days
• ACLS and BCLS required within specified timeframes
• Registered Nurse Diploma or Associate Degree
• ACLS Instructor or Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 60 days
• BCLS Instructor must be obtained prior to employment start date

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation
• Advocate for patients as part of the interdisciplinary team
• Analyze the assessment data to determine the diagnosis or issues
• Evaluate the obstetrical patient for any situation that may compromise the well-being of mother and fetus
• Participate in routine delivery as well as planned or emergent Cesarean Sections
• Act as an advocate for patient safety
• Ensure effective care and use of time, supplies, and equipment
• Educate patients regarding their medications, procedure and treatments, providing patients and their families with support throughout their stay
