Job summary

St. David’s North Austin Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Labor and Delivery unit. You will coordinate and provide patient care, conduct initial and ongoing assessments, and develop individualized care plans while teaching patients and families.

You will document assessments, identify changes in condition, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe discharges. A BSN is preferred, ADN required, with Texas RN licensure and BLS/ACLS-ALS certifications as

Qualifications

• 1 year of clinical nursing experience as an RN.
• Active Texas RN license or Compact license with Texas within 90 days.
• BLS and ACLS/ALS certifications required per policy.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide patient care in L&D as assigned.
• Complete admission interview and document assessment.
• Identify condition changes and report promptly to physician/charge nurse.
• Educate patients and families; facilitate discharge planning and teaching.
• Administer medications accurately and document them legibly.
• Collaborate with physician, CN Coordinator and interdisciplinary team.
• Reassess and modify care plans based on patient response.
