Job summary

BayCare Health System in Winter Haven is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager - Patient Care Leader to join the Labor & Delivery team at Winter Haven Women's Hospital. This full-time leadership role supports the Nurse Manager, oversees staffing and patient care, and ensures high-quality outcomes on the unit.

Shift hours are 1:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with four 10-hour shifts and on-call responsibilities. Qualified candidates will have RN licensure, BLS, a Bachelor's in Nursing preferred, and 2+ years in

• Registered Nurse with current license and BLS certification.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum 2 years RN acute care experience, with Labor & Delivery background.
• Leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Nurse Manager in supervision, staff issues, performance appraisals, and hiring/counseling/terminating processes.
• Delivers complex nursing care and maintains accountability for patient outcomes 24/7.
• Promotes quality care and acts as a frontline leader for the Labor & Delivery unit.
