Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking an RN to join the Labor & Delivery department pool for day shifts in Winter Haven. This role focuses on independent patient care, utilizing nursing processes and standards while coordinating with the health care team.

The RN will collaborate with interdisciplinary providers, update care plans with families, and identify at-risk patients to ensure safe environments and optimal outcomes in a high-volume labor and delivery setting.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license required.
• At least 18 months RN Labor & Delivery experience.
• Associates Degree in Nursing; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with inter-disciplinary care providers to develop and assist in the plan of care.
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patient, family, and significant others.
• Identifies patients at risk for injury and prepares room environment.
