Talented Medical Solutions in Charles City, IA seeks a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery to provide care from admission through the postpartum period and to newborns after birth. You will monitor mother and fetus, recognize complications, and educate families.

This role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program and L&D experience; RN licensure, BLS and NRP certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Labor and delivery or obstetric nursing experience required.

Responsabilités

• Assess and monitor obstetric patients throughout labor, delivery and recovery.
• Perform continuous fetal monitoring and interpret fetal heart rate tracings.
• Administer medications, IV therapy and oxytocin or other agents per physician orders.
• Assist the provider during vaginal and operative deliveries and provide immediate newborn care.
• Recognize obstetric and neonatal emergencies and initiate appropriate intervention.
• Provide postpartum care, newborn assessment, feeding support and discharge education.
