Job summary

Huckeye Health Services LLC in Ottumwa, IA is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join the Women and Family Center. You will provide direct nursing care to women in labor, post-delivery, post-surgical patients, newborns, and pediatrics, ensuring safety and compassionate support.

The role requires performing physical and psychosocial assessments, developing individualized care plans with patients and families, and implementing nursing care plans to promote healthy outcomes.

Qualifications

• Iowa Registered Nurse license (or compact state license) recognized for practice in Iowa.
• NRP certification required within 12 months of hire.
• Course in basic fetal monitoring required within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct nursing care for patients in the Women and Family Center (labor, post-delivery, post-surgical, newborn, nursery, pediatrics).
• Completing physical and psychosocial assessments of assigned patients.
• Creating/updating/individualizing Nursing Care Plans with patient and family input.
• Implementing the nursing care plan.

Iowa RN license or compact state license

Job description

• Providing direct nursing care for patients of the Women and Family Center including women in labor, post-delivery, post-surgical, newborn nursery, special care nursery, and pediatrics.
• Completing physical and psychosocial assessments of assigned patients
• Creating/updating/individualizing Nursing Care Plans for assigned patients in collaboration with the patient and their significant others
• Implementing Nursing Care Plan

Certifications/Licenses:

• Current Iowa Registered Nurse License or compact state nursing license giving the ability to practice In Iowa.
• Certification in NRP required within 12 months (offered through ORHC)
• Course in basic fetal monitoring required within 12 months
