Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking aRegistered Nurse for Labor and Delivery to provide comprehensive obstetric nursing care across labor, delivery, recovery, and the immediate postpartum period. The role includes continuous maternal and fetal monitoring, education for families, and newborn care aligned with physician orders and protocols.

Ideal candidates will have RN licensure in the state of practice, and required BLS, NRP, and ACLS certifications, with demonstrated labor and delivery

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing is required.
• Labor and delivery or obstetric nursing experience is required.
• RN licensure in the state of practice is required.
• BLS, NRP and ACLS certification are required.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor obstetric patients throughout labor, delivery and recovery.
• Perform continuous fetal monitoring and interpret fetal heart rate tracings.
• Administer medications, IV therapy and oxytocin per physician orders.
• Assist the provider during vaginal and operative deliveries and provide immediate newborn care.
• Recognize obstetric and neonatal emergencies and initiate intervention.
• Provide postpartum care, newborn assessment, feeding support and discharge education.
