Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Labor and Delivery Specialty Float Pool in the Austin metro area. The role requires flexibility to float across multiple units with a rotating schedule and a commitment to high-quality, compassionate patient care.

Minimum requirements include a Texas RN license, BLS within 30 days, and ACLS/PALS preferred. Diploma in nursing and two years of acute care labor and delivery experience are expected.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days of hire date.
• Texas RN license obtained prior to hire date.
• ACLS and PALS preferred.
• Diploma from accredited nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate direct patient care across diverse units.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans and orders.
• Coordinate patient journey and communication among disciplines.
• Record patient conditions, observations, and interventions accurately.
