Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing required.
• Maryland RN license required.
• CPR/BLS validation; Healthcare Provider CPR biennial.
• Additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP) required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Utilization of Nursing Process.
• Assessment: Compile database and formulate nursing diagnosis; assess and interview patients; determine priorities.
• Planning: Develop and update written nursing plan of care incorporating primary diagnoses and patient needs.
• Implementation: Administer medications and treatments; perform nursing skills; communicate status to team.
• Patient Care Coordination: Manage daily assignments; coordinate with teams; ensure smooth patient flow.
• Teaching & Quality Improvement: Educate patients/families; participate in discharge planning and unit level monitoring.
• Professional Excellence: May serve as charge RN; precept new staff; support Nurse Residency program.
