Job summary

The Chicago office of a nationally regarded law firm seeks an experienced Labor Associate focused on traditional labor law and representing management in union-related matters, bargaining, and NLRB proceedings.

This role offers opportunities to work on significant employer matters, develop union avoidance strategies, and mentor in a nationally integrated platform.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years' dedicated management-side labor law experience.
• Experience representing employers in traditional labor matters.
• Grievance arbitration experience.
• NLRB experience.
• Strong collective bargaining knowledge.
• Ability to manage matters independently.
• Excellent written advocacy and communication skills.
• Illinois Bar admission or eligibility.
• Spanish language capability would be advantageous but is not essential.

Responsibilities

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Labor Associate to join the Chicago office of a highly regarded national law firm within its established management-side Labor practice.

This position is focused specifically on traditional labor law and is ideally suited to an attorney with substantive experience representing management in union-related matters, collective bargaining, grievance arbitration and proceedings before the NLRB.

The Role

• Representing employers in grievance arbitration proceedings.
• Supporting and leading collective bargaining negotiations.
• Representing clients before the NLRB.
• Advising management on NLRA compliance.
