Job summary

Peters & Kappenman, P.A. is seeking a highly motivated Labor and Employment Law Attorney with 2-8 years of experience to join our Minneapolis office. The ideal candidate will handle counseling for employers and litigation matters, with advantageous exposure to corporate transactions or construction.

You will contribute to client growth and be a key member of our practice. The role requires Minnesota bar admission, a track record of success, and the ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in litigation proceedings, including hearings, arbitrations and trials.

Job description

Labor and employment law firm seeking a highly motivated attorney with 2-8 years' experience to join our practice. The ideal candidate will have litigation experience and be comfortable working with employers on employment counseling and compliance issues. Corporate transactional and/or construction experience are considered advantageous. The attorney will play a key role in serving our clients and contributing to the growth of our practice.

Labor and Employment Law Attorney Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal counsel and representation to employers on a wide range of labor and employment law matters, including but not limited to discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, wage and hour issues, and compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Conduct legal research, draft legal documents and provide strategic advice to clients.
  • Represent clients in litigation proceedings, including hearings, arbitrations and trials.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills, interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills, and a strong work ethic.
Labor and Employment Law Attorney Requirements:
  • Admission to the State Bar of Minnesota.
  • 2-8 years of experience practicing law.
  • Demonstrated interest in labor and employment law.
  • Proven track record of success.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to provide strategic legal advice to clients.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
