Career Consulting Partners is seeking a Labor & Employment Attorney in Los Angeles, CA. The firm combines client-first advocacy with cutting-edge AI tools to streamline administration, allowing focus on strategy, depositions, and trial advocacy.

We seek a 2–6 year employment attorney who wants meaningful work, growth, and a long-term role on our litigation team. The role offers flexible hybrid work, 1 day work-from-home, and opportunities to advance through hands-on courtroom experience.

Qualifications

• Active license to practice law in California.
• 2–6 years of dedicated employment law litigation experience in California (plaintiff-side preferred).
• Strong knowledge of FEHA, California Labor Code, CFRA, and CCP rules.

• Comfort with modern legal tech and AI tools to maximize efficiency.

Responsabilités

• Manage a portfolio of FEHA litigation cases from filing through resolution.
• Draft complaints, oppose MSJs, and handle complex evidentiary motions.
• Take and defend depositions of plaintiffs, PMKs, supervisors, and experts.

About the Role

Labor & Employment Attorney. We are looking for an ambitious 2–6-year employment attorney who wants to do meaningful work, grow with us, and become a long-term pillar of our litigation team.

Location

• Los Angeles, CA (Downtown)
• Flexible Work Schedule: (After a 60-day acclimation period)
• 1 Day Work from Home
• In addition to the 1-day WFH: any day you're taking or defending a remote deposition, attending a remote mediation, or prepping for either, you are able to work from home.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of single-plaintiff FEHA litigation cases (discrimination, harassment, retaliation, disability accommodation, wrongful termination) from filing through resolution.
• Draft complaints, oppose Motions for Summary Judgment (MSJs), and handle complex evidentiary motions.
• Take and defend key depositions, including plaintiffs, PMKs, supervisors, and expert witnesses.
• Participate actively in team strategy sessions, contributing ideas and refining legal arguments for colleagues' cases as well as your own.
• Represent clients in mediations, mandatory settlement conferences, and court appearances.
• Second-chair or first-chair trials alongside senior partners.

Qualifications

• Active license to practice law in California, in good standing.
• 2 to 6 years of dedicated employment law litigation experience in California (plaintiff-side preferred; defense-side attorneys with a true passion for worker advocacy are encouraged to apply).
• Solid foundation in the California Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA), California Labor Code, CFRA, and California Rules of Civil Procedure.
• Trial-ready, team-oriented, and driven by client outcomes and professional growth rather than just transactional metrics.
• Comfort leveraging modern legal tech, case management software, and AI workflow tools to maximize efficiency.

Required Skills

• Dedicated employment law litigation experience in California.
• Knowledge of FEHA, California Labor Code, CFRA, and California Rules of Civil Procedure.
• Trial readiness and strong courtroom abilities.

Pay range and compensation package

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience ($140,000 – $190,000+ depending on background and track record).
