Job description

Round Hill Search is working with a boutique law firm in the Los Angeles area that is seeking an Employment Litigation Attorney with at least 3 years of litigation experience to join its team. Ideal candidates will have excellent research, writing, and case management skills. Candidate must have an excellent work ethic and be able to handle multiple matters.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide expert legal advice and guidance on labor and employment matters to clients.
• Handle a diverse caseload, including but not limited to discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and wage disputes.
• Represent clients in labor and employment litigation proceedings, including hearings, trials, and appeals.
• Stay abreast of labor and employment laws, regulations, and precedents to ensure accurate and up-to-date legal counsel.
• Review and negotiate employment contracts, severance agreements, and other employment-related documents.
• Ensure clients' adherence to relevant labor laws and regulations, providing proactive compliance advice.
• Develop and conduct training programs for clients on employment law compliance and best practices.
• Assist clients in crafting and implementing employment policies that align with legal requirements.
• Facilitate settlements and negotiations in employment-related disputes through mediation or arbitration.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, updating them on legal developments and advising on potential risks.
• Draft and review legal documents, including complaints, motions, and legal memoranda.
• Collaborate with internal teams, co-counsel, and external stakeholders to achieve optimal legal outcomes for clients.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) required; fully licensed in California with a minimum of three(3) years of litigation experience required.
• Demonstrated commitment to a strong work ethic, including high dedication, reliability, and accountability.
• Specialization or significant experience in labor and employment law.
• Proven litigation experience in labor and employment matters.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess legal issues and provide effective solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear and concise legal counsel.
• High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
• Strong negotiation skills for effective resolution of disputes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with legal teams and clients.
