Job summary

The Los Angeles, CA office of an AM 100 firm is actively seeking an attorney to join its Labor & Employment Practice. This role requires extensive contact with clients, governmental agencies and opposing counsel.

The ideal candidate will be admitted to practice in California and have at least 1 to 15 years of experience in employment law matters. Strong writing and analytical skills are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Admitted to practice in California.
• 1–15 years of employment law experience.
• Experience handling single plaintiff claims, PAGA, Wage & Hour, FEHA.
• Employment counseling or in-house employment law experience preferred.
• Strong writing and analytical skills; ability to manage multiple projects.
• Self-starter; able to work independently and in a team.
• Drafting/responding to discovery and pleadings; drafting and arguing motions; taking and defending depositions.

Job Summary: The Los Angeles, CA office of an AM 100 firm is actively seeking an attorney to join its Labor & Employment Practice.

The firm’s Labor & Employment Practice represents clients from coast to coast in all phases and types of employment litigation, counseling, and training. Our team of employment professionals is spread throughout our locations across the United States and provides clients with sound counsel in dozens of jurisdictions. Our size and geographic coverage allow us to provide our clients with consistent representation throughout the nation.

This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys who are proactive and passionate about assuming a high-level role providing legal service within a sophisticated practice and who are seeking to assume a significant role in all aspects of labor and employment law. This role requires extensive contact with clients, governmental agencies and opposing counsel.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will be admitted to practice in California and have at least one (1) to fifteen (15) years of experience in employment law matters.

Prior employment litigation experience is required (preferably on the management side), including experience handling single plaintiff employment claims as well as PAGA, Wage & Hour, and FEHA matters.

Employment counseling or in-house employment law experience is preferred.

Qualified candidates will be comfortable drafting and responding to discovery and initial pleadings, drafting, and arguing motions, as well as taking and defending depositions.

Candidates must have strong writing and analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
