Employment and Labor Attorney of Counsel (Full-Time) (Hybrid in Newark, New Jersey)

About the firm

Our client is a well-known and successful law firm with a highly awarded Litigation Department, including being named “New Jersey Firm of the Year” 2025 by Benchmark Litigation. The firm has received multiple recognitions over the years, such as “General Litigation Department of the Year - Midsize” by the New Jersey Law Journal in 2023, 2020, 2019, and 2016, and “Labor & Employment Litigation Department of the Year” in 2024 and 2022.

Requirements

• 15-20 years of experience defending employment claims, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour disputes, restrictive covenant enforcement, and trade secret litigation in courts or before government agencies.
• Experience with Human Resources support and employment counseling across all phases.
• Experience in traditional labor law and/or ERISA matters is a plus.

Qualifications

• Admitted to practice in NY and NJ.
• Strong academic credentials, excellent research, drafting, writing, and analytical skills, plus effective verbal communication.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
