The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of employment litigation experience and must be admitted to the California Bar. The workload includes wage and hour class actions, unfair competition claims, and advising on personnel policies and harassment issues.

Labor and Employment Associate, Junior to Mid | Fully Remote, San Diego | $225,000 to $300,000

The first time a partner forwards you a demand letter with nothing in the email but your initials, you read it four times before lunch.

Then you look up the claimant's job title, dig out the handbook, check whether the arbitration agreement was ever signed, and by three o'clock you've got a view. You send it over, the partner changes two words, and it goes to the client with your name on it. That afternoon is roughly when a junior employment lawyer stops feeling junior, and at a lot of firms it doesn't come around until year four.

This San Diego seat should get you there sooner. It's for someone two to four years in, it's fully remote, and the band runs from $225,000 to $300,000 with a discretionary bonus on top. Wage and hour experience helps and isn't a deal breaker. The employment group is very big and does nothing else, so whoever you message at 6pm has seen your problem before. There's a retirement plan and the usual insurance coverage as well.
