Job summary

Saint Peter's Healthcare System is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN Per Diem to join our Magnet‑designated team in New Jersey. The role focuses on compassionate, evidence‑based patient care, thorough assessments, accurate documentation, and adherence to Standards of Care.

The ideal candidate holds a New Jersey RN license, BLS, NRP I/II, ACLS, National Fetal Monitor certification, and OB course; BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license.
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association).
• NRP certification Part I & II required.
• ACLS certification obtained during orientation.
• National Fetal Monitor certification obtained during orientation.
• Special OB course completed during orientation.

Responsibilities

• Be a positive contributor to our nursing team.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients as per Nursing Standards.
• Ensure procedures align with Standards of Care.

The Labor and Delivery RN Per Diem will:

• Be a positive contributor to our collaborative nursing team
• Utilize excellent assessment skills to determine the health status of assigned patients as outlined in the Nursing Standards
• Ensure all procedures are performed based on established Standards of Care
• Administer medications and parenteral therapies in accordance with policy
• Meticulously document all aspects of patient care

Requirements

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey
• One (1) year of experience preferred
• BSN preferred
• BLS certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Provider) certification Part I & II required
• ACLS certification obtained during clinical orientation
• National Fetal Monitor certification obtained during clinical orientation
• Special OB course completed during clinical orientation

Salary Range:56.00 - 56.00 USD

We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials.

The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full‑time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
