Job summary

Amergis, in a travel Labor and Delivery RN role in Aiken, SC, is seeking an experienced nurse to manage care during birth and the immediate postpartum period. You will monitor vital signs, assist with delivery, and educate families while coordinating interdisciplinary care.

Eligibility includes an active RN license in SC, 1+ year L&D preferred, CPR, TB/PPD or chest x-ray, health certificate, and compliance with applicable standards and age requirements.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• One year of Labor and Delivery experience preferred.
• RNC-OB preferred.
• Meets all relevant professional standards of practice.
• CPR current if applicable.
• TB questionnaire/PPD or chest X-ray if applicable.
• Health certificate current per contract or state regulations.
• Must meet federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Apply nursing process to patient care in the L&D setting with supervision.
• Monitor mothers during the final stages of pregnancy and care for birthing mothers.
• Educate patients and address psychosocial needs post delivery.
• Coordinate patient care and assist others in management of care.

Job Type: Travel

Pay: 2398 Week

Hours: 36.00

Location: Aiken, SC

The Labor and Delivery Nurse assumes responsibility andaccountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery ofpatient care in the L&D Setting. TheLabor and Delivery Nurse demonstrates the ability to make clinical judgments inan effective and efficient manner with supervision.

The Labor and Delivery Nurse works with Mothers during thefinal stages of pregnancy helping with birthing, monitoring the Mother’s vitalsigns, and becoming astute in signs and symptoms of possiblecomplications. The Labor and DeliveryNurse is involved in patient education and addressing the psychosocial needs ofMothers after delivery and demonstrates critical thinking and performanceability in the coordination of patient care.Consistently performs according to nursing standards and is accountablein managing patient care and assisting others in the management of patientcare.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse license within the state ofpractice

• One year of Labor and Delivery clinical experience withinthe last three years preferred

• RNC-OB Preferred

• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice

• Current CPR if applicable

• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
