Job summary

The role requires ACLS/NRP/BLS, and fetal monitoring proficiency, with experience in a Level I/II Neonatal environment preferred. Staffing includes 70 L&D employees, with onsite contracts and 13-week assignments.

Qualifications

• ACLS, NRP, BLS certifications required.
• C-EFM or AWHONN fetal monitoring proficiency.
• Experience in Labor and Delivery nursing preferred.
• Ability to work night shifts and 12-hour rotations.

Responsibilities

• C-sections, labor and delivery, and recoveries on unit.
• Monitor magnesium titration and fetal surveillance as needed.
• Provide patient care in a fast-paced obstetric setting.
• Collaborate with OB physicians, nurses, and techs for safe deliveries.

General Information

Tell us about the unit(s):

Number of Beds -8 labor, 8 antepartum, 4 triage, 2 ORSs (Mother baby unit has 27 beds, Level III NICU with 24 beds)

Number of Staff – 70 employees in L&D

Type of staff:

• o Day Shift – 1 CNC, 1 OB tech, 1 transition nurse (baby catcher) 6 RNs
• o Night Shift - 1 CNC, 1 OB tech, 1 transition nurse (baby catcher) 6 RNs

Patient Ratios – labor1:2, antepartum 1:3

Type of equipment – standard L&D equipment, including NOVII wireless monitors, centricity central fetal strip surveillance throughout the unit

EMR – CPN, meditech for order entry and labs

Typical hiring profile

Skill Set Most recruited for:

• Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
• Circulator for c-sections
• Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.
• Primary baby catching ability
