Zusammenfassung

AMN Healthcare is seeking Labor and Delivery RNs to monitor mother and baby, coach families through birth, and assist doctors during labor and cesarean deliveries. LD RNs may float to Postpartum or Mother Baby as census requires.

Eligible candidates hold a BSN or ADN with NCLEX and an active RN license; NRP and AWHONN are often required. Clinicians should have about 3 years of LD experience and be available for 4–6 shifts per month.

Jobbeschreibung

LD RN's care for women during labor and childbirth, monitoring the baby and the mother, coaching mothers and assisting doctors. They prepare women, and their families, for the stages of giving birth and help patients with breastfeeding after the baby is born. In addition to assisting women throughout labor and the birthing process, LD RN' s care for women who experience complications with their pregnancies and assist surgeons during cesarean deliveries. LD RN's can work in a variety of settings such as hospital delivery rooms, physician’s offices, birthing centers, and community clinics. L&D RN’s may be asked to float to Postpartum or Mother Baby due to census.

Education/Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN): 4-Year Education
• Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN): 2-Year Education
• You must earn an ADN or BSN degree and pass the NCLEX to apply for a license as a RN.
• RN‘s can only work with an active state license.
• NRP and AWHONN are often required

Clinicians are required to have 3 years of LD experience. Perform triage, catch babies during delivery, circulate c-sections and care for high and low risk patients. Scrub experience is preferred. Must be available to work 4-6 shifts a month.
