Job summary

Alpha Home Health and Hospice is seeking a Labor and Delivery Clinical Nurse Coordinator to lead daily operations on the Labor & Delivery unit, guiding RNs and support staff to deliver evidence-based, safe, high-quality maternity care.

You will coordinate clinical operations, triage and intrapartum nursing care, collaborate with OB providers and anesthesia, and respond rapidly to obstetric emergencies while mentoring staff and advancing quality initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate unit clinical operations and support staff performance.
• Provide triage and intrapartum nursing care, including fetal monitoring.
• Collaborate with OB providers and anesthesia to deliver coordinated patient care.
• Respond rapidly to obstetric emergencies and support timely interventions.
• Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and expectations.
• Support staff onboarding, competency development, and ongoing training.
• Drive quality initiatives and participate in interdisciplinary teamwork.
