Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC seeks a Clinical Nurse Coordinator for the Labor and Delivery unit to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinate unit operations during shifts.

You will lead staff, ensure policies compliance, manage admissions/discharges, and partner with leaders to improve outcomes. Requires RN licensure in NC, BLS, 1 year nursing experience; ACLS and NRP within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree of Science in Nursing (ASN) is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• Current RN license in North Carolina; eNLC may apply.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification is required.
• One year of nursing experience required.
• ACLS and Neonatal Resuscitation must be obtained within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate patient care assignments per policies.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory standards.
• Assist with admission and discharge processes for throughput.
• Collaborate with leaders to improve teamwork and outcomes.
• Support nursing strategies and staff engagement initiatives.
• Provide coaching, feedback and training to staff.
• Assist with interviewing, selecting and training new staff.
• Assist with staff scheduling and labor management.
