Job summary

Hachette Book Group is seeking a Print/Computer Operator to run industrial printers, manage labels and packing lists, and maintain data integrity on the production floor. The role includes printer maintenance, cover duties for the main operator, and completing any remaining tasks from the first shift.

The ideal candidate has one year of related experience, a HS diploma, and strong attendance with the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• One year of proven Computer Operator or Print Operator experience.
• Ability to lift at least 10 lbs repetitively.
• Mechanical aptitude is a plus.
• Excellent attendance and work ethic.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Prints labels and packing lists using industrial printers.
• Follows procedures to maintain data integrity.
• Decollates labels and packing lists.
• Conducts quality control on print materials.
• Operates computer systems and peripheral equipment.
• Maintains operational logs.
• May fill in for the main computer operator.
• Performs printer maintenance and other shift duties.
