Job summary

MCC, a global leader in premium labels, seeks a Press Operator Assistant to support printing presses per specifications and customer expectations. You will help with setup, changeovers, cleaning, and quality checks, contributing to on-time production and safety.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to read tickets, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, disability, life insurance, and 401(k).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience or training; or equivalent education/experience
• Print shop experience helpful but not required
• Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) and be a team player
• Ability to read and understand a job ticket
• Ability to read a ruler and understand measurements; able to pass a ruler test
• Ability to pass an eye test for correctable vision
• Ability to differentiate colors and pass a color test
• Ability to input data in a computer
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with urgency

Responsibilities

• Comply with all company and safety policies and procedures
• Attains and maintains defined job objectives related to planning and execution of all jobs and changes
• Assist in external make-ready operations for label changeovers
• Assist in external clean-up after changeovers
• Clean ink pans and ancillary equipment
• Strip plates from cylinders
• Locate dies to and from press
• May work with press operator to view labels with strobe light
• Comply with quality assurance specifications
• Complete quality assurance sheets and documentation
• Maintain cleanliness of machinery and workspace
• Work overtime as needed
• Perform related duties as assigned
