Job summary

Veolia Water Tech is seeking a motivated Field Service Technician to service laboratory water purification systems across North America. You will install, calibrate, diagnose, repair, and maintain equipment, while delivering excellent customer service and working with cross-functional teams.

The role requires strong mechanical/electrical skills, a willingness to travel, and the ability to manage multiple service calls and administrative tasks with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, Biomedical Technology, Mechanical Technology, or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of two years field service experience installing, maintaining, and repairing technical equipment.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and electronic troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities with customers at all levels.
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills for multiple service calls and admin tasks.
• Ability to work independently.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the territory, including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, configure, and validate laboratory water purification systems per procedures and specs.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, calibrations, software updates, and operational verification.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical equipment at customer sites.
• Replace defective components and perform corrective maintenance.
• Complete service reports, calibration docs, and admin paperwork on time.
• Generate quotations for billable repairs, PM agreements, and system upgrades.
• Identify PMA renewal opportunities and collaborate with Sales and Customer Service.
• Train customers on operation and maintenance procedures.
• Respond to emergency service requests promptly and professionally.
• Build strong customer relationships with expertise and top service levels.
• Maintain tools, test equipment, inventory, and vehicle in ready condition.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies in lab/pharma/healthcare environments.
