Job summary

ARaymond is seeking a experienced Lab Technician to join our engineering team in Michigan. You will perform lab tests to generate precise data for investigations, support quality resolution, and prepare comprehensive test reports to guide product development.

Responsibilities include calibrations, maintaining lab equipment, and ensuring 5S and safety compliance. Requires 7+ years in a lab setting, ability to read specs, and proficiency with Thermotron, Instron, and Burst equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 7+ years in a lab technician role.
• Basic machine electrical and hydraulic skills.
• Experience in testing and calibration procedures.
• Ability to read blueprints and specifications.
• Ability to operate lab equipment (Thermotron, Instron, Burst).
• Knowledge of test procedures and requirements.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• With little direction, perform lab tests to produce reliable data for investigations.
• Conduct testing to resolve internal and customer quality issues.
• Execute testing plans per DV/PV testing and create reports.
• Maintain Calibration Database and PM schedules for equipment.
• Coordinate and schedule equipment calibration and maintain lab supplies.
• Ensure 5S standards and safety compliance; travel to sites when required.
