Job summary

Prisma Health Urgent Care Greenville is seeking a Laboratory Technologist (MLT) to perform high‑complexity testing and support patient care. You will receive and process specimens, perform quality controls, and ensure accurate results in an fast-paced clinical lab.

The role requires a Bachelor’s or an Associate degree in laboratory science fields, RT‑qPCR experience preferred, and ability to work 12‑hour shifts with weekend/holiday coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, CLS, or Medical Technology; OR an Associate degree in Laboratory Science.
• 60 semester hours including 24 hours in science/MLT coursework.
• At least 3 months documented lab training in each tested specialty.
• RT-qPCR experience preferred.
• Must have laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-complexity testing, including RT-qPCR and other high‑complexity procedures.
• Receive, accession, and process specimens; resolve collection issues.
• Execute and document quality control procedures per lab protocols.
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Verify and report accurate results using EMR and instrument software.
• Comply with OSHA, CLIA, COLA, and HIPAA regulations.
• Maintain inventory of reagents and lab supplies; ensure cost‑effective use.
• Participate in lab proficiency testing and continuous performance improvement.
