Job summary

Inspira Health in Vineland, NJ seeks a qualified Medical Laboratory Technician to perform diagnostic testing on patient samples, ensuring accuracy and reliability of results. You will calibrate instruments, run quality controls, and participate in proficiency testing as part of a collaborative laboratory team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or related field OR HEW/HHS - High school graduate with 50-week medical lab training OR Graduate of an approved Medical Laboratory or Clinical Laboratory training program.
• ASCP MLS or equivalent level eligible at date of hire.
• HEW/HHS certification required as a technologist under CLIA '67 regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic testing on patient samples and analyze test results for accuracy and reliability.
• Calibrate and operate laboratory instrumentation; perform preventive maintenance; troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Perform quality control testing and institute corrective action as needed; participate in proficiency testing.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.
• Provide clear written and verbal communication of results and procedures.
