Job summary

Inspira Health Network seeks a generalist laboratory professional to perform testing, quality control, and report results across site operations. You will operate instrumentation, prepare reagents, and ensure procedures are followed meticulously.

Communicating patient results with nursing and physicians, you may assist with special projects and must be capable of working independently under the supervision of Lab leadership.

Qualifications

• ASCP or equivalent certification required or eligible; certification must be achieved within 12 months after hire date.
• 1–3 years clinical laboratory experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing and quality control procedures as a generalist across site departments and shifts.
• Operate instrumentation and prepare reagents; report results per established policies and procedures.
• Communicate patient results with nursing staff and physicians; assist on various projects as needed.
• Work independently under supervision of Laboratory leadership.

MAJOR FUNCTION:Performs testing and quality control procedures as a generalist in all operational departments relevant to the site and shift of hire. Operates instrumentation, prepares reagents and reports results according to established policies and procedures. Performs all testing under the supervision of a Laboratory Department Manager, Laboratory Site Manager /Supervisor or Lead Technologist. Communicates with nursing/physicians regarding patient results and assist in various projects as needed.
