Job summary

SPL in Round Rock, TX is seeking a Lab Technician II to join our environmental laboratory team. This on-site role combines hands-on sample preparation, analytical testing, data review, and instrument support to deliver timely, high‑quality results.

Qualifications

  • Experienced laboratory professional preferred.
  • Analytical testing knowledge is a plus.
  • Familiarity with LIMS or data entry is helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Perform sample preparation, analytical testing, and quality control activities in accordance with approved methods, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
  • Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment, including routine preventive maintenance.
  • Review and interpret analytical data, perform calculations, and investigate or elevate discrepancies, unusual findings, and out-of-control conditions.
  • Maintain accurate laboratory records, enter results in LIMS, and prepare reports as required.
  • Collaborate with team members and management to prioritize workloads, meet turnaround expectations, and support cross-training.
  • Contribute to audits, corrective actions, SOP revisions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-supplied laboratory, including glassware, inventory, and equipment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

We’re seeking a motivated Lab Technician II to join our environmental laboratory team in Round Rock, TX.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced laboratory professional to expand their expertise in analytical testing while contributing to accurate, timely, and high‑quality results. This role combines hands‑on sample preparation and analysis with instrumentation, data review, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is technically capable, detail‑oriented, and motivated to grow within a collaborative, quality‑focused laboratory team.

What You’ll Do

Work Schedule
  • Full-time, on‑site position
