Job summary

Associated Asphalt, an Ergon Company, located in Tampa, FL, is seeking a Lab Technician for our manufacturing facility. The role involves working in the asphalt lab, handling chemicals and PPE, and contributing to quality testing and data reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and/or laboratory experience.
• Ability to follow instructions and work with measurement devices.
• Capable of learning sampling and test methods and using computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Train under current lab technician for progression.
• Develop and optimize laboratory methods for testing petroleum products.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot issues.
• Document procedures and results per quality standards.
• Provide analytical support for research and operations.
• Maintain calibration and maintenance records for instrumentation.
• Generate data reports for product quality and compliance.
• Adhere to safety protocols and promote a safe team culture.
• Respond to off-hours calls for critical equipment and testing.
