Job summary

Pace® Analytical Services in West Columbia, SC, is hiring Lab Technician I to join our environmental testing laboratory. You’ll support sample-related activities, receive training, and grow a laboratory sciences career with Pace®.

This full‑time role runs 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with weekends off. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities to advance while contributing to safer, healthier communities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to work in a lab or office setting and wear PPE provided by Pace.
• Experience in a laboratory or environmental testing setting is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support all lab sample-related activities, including preservation, preparation, processing and maintenance.
• Maintain and update documentation and databases.
• Participate in training on fundamental lab support policies, programs, and practices.

What you’ll do

• Support all laboratory sample-related activities, including preservation, preparation, processing and maintenance
• Maintain and update appropriate documentation and databases
• Participate in training on fundamental lab support policies, programs, and practices

What you’ll bring

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to perform work in a lab or office setting, remain standing for long periods while conducting tests, work around strong smells, and wear personal protective equipment while handling samples (e.g., lab coat, safety glasses and gloves; all PPE provided by Pace®).
• Experience in a laboratory or environmental testing setting is preferred, but not required
