Vitalant in Rosemont, IL is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join a mission-driven team dedicated to blood safety and patient care. This entry-level role focuses on preparing blood components, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring product quality through precise lab procedures.

You will work 5:00 PM - 1:30 AM on weekend rotation, with base wage of $18.37–$19.88 per hour plus shift differentials. The position offers comprehensive benefits including health, retirement matching, tuition

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• No prior experience required for the role.
• Laboratory experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate data records and documentation.
• Prepare blood components through processes such as centrifugation, separation, freezing, thawing, washing, storage, sterile docking, transformation, and filtration.
• Ensure product quality, volume, appearance, and time requirements.
• Conduct labeling for routine and special components and implement quarantine procedures.
