Job summary

Stratas Foods is seeking a Laboratory Technician to conduct analytical testing of vegetable oils in our Quincy, IL facility. The role involves recording data electronically and maintaining an organized laboratory environment in a food manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities include prioritizing samples, entering analyses into the TLC database, and participating in training and safety meetings, with opportunities to learn procedures and improve processes.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent - Required & Verified.
• Experience with food safety a plus; Previous laboratory experience helpful, but not required.
• Basic computer data entry skills required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate to management when test results indicate that corrective action is necessary.
• Prioritize oil samples as they arrive in the laboratory.
• Complete analytical testing and paperwork in a timely manner.
• Enter all analysis into data base (TLC).
• Learn procedures as necessary.
• Develop a thorough understanding of laboratory processes and procedures.
• Attend all training and safety meetings as scheduled.
