Job Description

This is a full-time, non-exempt position.

Job Summary

Perform laboratory analysis on in-process and finished product samples to determine conformance to quality and purity specifications. Collect sample retains and communicate with departments via email and Microsoft Teams.

Essential Job Functions

1. Follow all safety and environmental rules and regulations.
2. Adhere to GMP and HACCP requirements.
3. Monitor compliance with safety, food safety, environmental, and GMP policies.
4. Perform lab tests according to documented procedures.
5. Demonstrate ADM core values daily: Integrity, Respect, Excellence, Resourcefulness, Teamwork, Responsibility.
6. Maintain prompt attendance and work the assigned schedule.
7. Work collaboratively and communicate effectively; differentiate out-of-spec items; correlate process data; work independently for sampling and testing.
8. Conduct physical testing of samples.
9. Verify lab instruments daily.
10. Record, interpret, and enter test results into computerized systems.
11. Maintain tested product samples for result confirmation.
12. Ensure adequate testing supplies and notify supervisors when reordering is needed.
13. Compare test results with standards to ensure product specifications are met.
14. Handle chemicals safely as per SDS guidelines.
15. Communicate product issues with Operations, Merchandisers, and Quality teams.

Job Qualifications

1. Proficient in English; basic arithmetic skills.
2. Clear writing and professional communication skills.
3. Ability to multitask and stay organized.
4. Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn.
5. High School Diploma or GED required; Associate in applied science preferred.
6. Laboratory experience preferred.
7. Basic computer skills, including MS Office and instrument software.
8. Commitment to safety and ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and lift up to 50 lbs.
9. Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
