Job Description

This is a full-time, non-exempt position.

Job Summary

Perform laboratory analysis on in-process and finished product samples to determine conformance to quality and purity specifications. Gather sample retains and communicate with different departments via email and Microsoft Teams.

Essential Job Functions

• Follow all safety and environmental rules and regulations applicable to the position.
• Adhere to and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP requirements.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with safety, food safety, environmental, GMP rules, regulations, and policies.
• Perform lab tests adhering to documented procedures.
• Exemplify ADM core values: Integrity, Respect, Excellence, Resourcefulness, Teamwork, Responsibility.
• Maintain prompt attendance and willingness to work the assigned schedule.
• Work in a team-oriented manner, communicate effectively, distinguish out-of-spec items, correlate process data, and work independently for sampling and testing.
• Conduct physical testing of production samples.
• Verify lab instruments daily.
• Record, interpret, and enter test results using a computerized system.
• Maintain tested product samples for result confirmation when necessary.
• Ensure adequate supplies for testing and notify supervisors when reordering is needed.
• Compare test results with standards to ensure products meet specifications.
• Handle chemicals safely as outlined in Safety Data Sheets.
• Communicate product issues with Operations, Merchandisers, and Quality teams.

Job Qualifications

• Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking English, and basic arithmetic.
• Ability to write clearly and communicate professionally.

• Regular and punctual attendance.
• Participate actively in training.
• Physical readiness to perform duties, including working in confined spaces and at heights, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

• Basic computer skills, including MS Office and specialized software for lab instruments.

• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
