Zoetis is seeking a Lab Technician 1 to support the Hematology and Urinalysis streams in Louisville. The role involves preparing samples, operating automated analyzers, and maintaining accurate records to support diagnostic services for animal health.

The position requires a high school diploma with 1–2 years of lab experience; a degree is preferred. On-site responsibilities include equipment maintenance, QC review, and compliant waste handling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1-2 years of clinical laboratory experience.
• Proficiency in one of the following areas: Hematology, Urinalysis, Chemistry, Endocrinology, Parasitology, Cytology.

Responsibilities

• Prepare biological specimens for testing in hematology, urinalysis, and other departments.
• Operate high-throughput automated analyzers, microscopes, and other diagnostic equipment.
• Set up and execute tests, review results, and release findings per SOPs.
• Maintain laboratory equipment with routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Complete daily quality control and log daily and weekly records.
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of biological and biohazardous waste.
