Job summary

Pace Labs in Westborough, MA is seeking a Lab Technician for our Wet Chemistry department within the environmental testing laboratory. You will perform sample preparation, support preservation and processing activities, and help maintain documentation while gaining training to grow a career in laboratory sciences.

The position offers Tuesday through Saturday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with compensation of $18.00–$19.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in a STEM with chemistry credit hour preferred; High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to work in a lab or office setting and wear PPE.
• Experience in a laboratory or environmental testing setting preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support all laboratory sample-related activities, including preservation, preparation, processing, and maintenance.
• Maintain and update appropriate documentation and databases.
• Participate in training on fundamental lab support policies, programs, and practices.

What You’ll Do

• Participate in training on fundamental lab support policies, programs, and practices.

What You’ll Bring

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in a STEM with chemistry credit hour preferred; High school diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to work in a lab or office setting, remain standing for long periods while conducting tests, work around strong smells, and wear personal protective equipment while handling samples (lab coat, safety glasses, gloves — all provided by Pace®).
• Experience in a laboratory or environmental testing setting is preferred but not required.
