Job summary

Dyne Fire Protection Labs is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our team. This role tests and reports results for fire protection materials, including foam, antifreeze, dry chemical agents, and sprinklers.

The position rotates between foam and sprinkler labs and may support internal research projects individually or in groups. Key duties include routine lab testing, administrative support, and assisting with internal research.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree in a science-related field or prior laboratory technician experience preferred.
• At least 1 year of laboratory experience preferred.
• Understanding of basic chemical concepts and properties.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable with numerical data analysis.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Able to work collaboratively within a team.
• Ability to stand and work on your feet for up to 7 hours per day.
• Comfortable performing repetitive tasks and projects.
• Willingness to follow ISO 9001 and 17025 standards.

The position offers a dynamic workweek, rotating between testing in the foam and fire sprinkler laboratories, with the opportunity to occasionally support internal research projects either independently or as part of a group.

Schedule & Compensation

• Full-time schedule: Monday-Thursday 8:30 AM-5:00 PM; Friday 9:00 AM-3:00 PM.
• Pay: $22.00 per hour.
