Covia in Troy Grove, IL is seeking a Lab Technician to support the Operations team by preparing samples, conducting tests, and recording results. This role emphasizes safety and adherence to MSHA and OSHA standards in a physically demanding environment.

You will use Microsoft Office and other software to compile data, maintain lab housekeeping, and ensure accurate documentation to help Covia deliver quality minerals solutions to diverse markets.

Qualifications

• Experience with physical and chemical laboratory testing procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
• Basic mathematics, statistical analysis, and understanding of particle size distributions.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Obtaining and preparing product samples for analysis and storage.
• Conducting various tests according to established laboratory procedures.
• Utilizing various computer applications to compile, record and report test results.
• Performing general housekeeping within the laboratory.

The successful candidate will have the following Key Accountabilities:

• Obtaining and preparing product samples for analysis and storage
• Conducting various tests according to established laboratory procedures
• Utilizing various computer applications to compile, record and report test results
• Performing general housekeeping within the laboratory
