Covia is seeking a Lab Technician for the 2nd shift at its Wedron, IL location to support the Operations team. You will obtain and prepare samples, perform tests, and record results in computer systems while adhering to safety standards.

• Knowledge of MSHA and OSHA safety standards.

The successfulincumbentwill have the followingKeyAccountabilities:

• Obtaining and preparing product samples for analysis and storage
• Conducting various tests according to established laboratory procedures
• Utilizing various computer applications to compile, record and report test results
• Performing general housekeeping within the laboratory
• Following Covia, MSHA and OSHA safety standards at all times
• Working in a physically demanding work environment

The successful incumbent will have the following Minimum Qualifications:

• Physical and chemical laboratory testing procedures
• Microsoft Office and various other computer applications
• Basic mathematics, statistical analysis, and particle size distributions
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
