Coulee Medical Center seeks a Laboratory Technical Supervisor to lead a diverse team across Hematology, Serology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Microbiology, Molecular, and Chemistry. The role combines technical expertise with staff leadership to ensure accurate results and patient-centered care.

The ideal candidate has MT certification (ASCP/AMT), WA MA-P venipuncture license, BLS, and 4–5 years of lab experience, with a commitment to safety and quality in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• MT degree with national certification (ASCP and/or AMT)
• State of WA MA-P venipuncture license
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 4–5 years laboratory experience
• Accredited Laboratory Program for Medical Technologist

Responsibilities

• Oversee laboratory testing, quality control, equipment, supplies, and daily operations
• Lead and develop staff, build relationships with departments and providers
• Monitor quality data, identify improvement opportunities, support evidence-based practices
• Ensure safe, respectful, high-quality patient care
• Foster a positive, collaborative workplace where staff are supported and encouraged to grow
• Supervise lab activities under Laboratory Manager guidance

The Technical Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the performance and safety of laboratory staff under the direction of the Laboratory Manager. This position performs and oversees testing in areas including Hematology, Serology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Microbiology, Molecular, and Chemistry, based on training and certification. What You’ll Do

• Build strong relationships with staff, providers, management, and other departments
• Monitor quality data, identify opportunities for improvement, and support evidence-based practices

• Help ensure patients receive safe, respectful, high-quality care
• Foster a positive, collaborative workplace where staff feel supported and encouraged to grow
• Oversee laboratory testing, quality control, equipment, supplies, and daily operations

Education/Experience

• A graduate of baccalaureate program in Medical Technology (MT) with certification through a nationally recognized organization (ASCP and/or AMT)
• State of Washington Medical Assistant license of venipuncture (MA-P)
• BLS certification required
• A minimum of four to five years’ experience in the laboratory
• Accredited Laboratory Program for Medical Technologist
