Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Associate degree in medical technology, biology, chemistry, or related science preferred.
• Minimum Work Experience: One year experience preferred.
• Certifications: ASCP, AMT, and/or NCA preferred or eligible
• Mathematical, computer, reasoning and language skills at the college level required.

Responsibilities

• Practices the profession of clinical laboratory science in the area(s) of assigned responsibility according to accepted standards of practice as outlined by CAP, CLIA ’88, JCAHO, AABB, and other regulatory agencies as appropriate.
• Actively participates in the structure, review and revision of policies and procedures.
• Monitors quality control data and instrument maintenance.
• Participate in maintenance and safety programs.
• Participates in and supports a process to measure, assess, and performance improvement in areas of assign responsibility.

Education

Associate degree in medical technology, biology, chemistry, or related science

Certifications: ASCP, AMT, and/or NCA preferred or eligible
