Job summary
Northwest Texas Healthcare System in Amarillo, TX is seeking a Tech/MLT to perform waived and non-waived analyses of patient specimens under supervision. This role supports the Department of Clinical Laboratory Services and aligns with the hospital's service-excellence standards.
The position requires an associate degree in medical technology or related science, with ASCP/AMT/NCA preferred or eligible, and includes participation in quality control and safety programs within a large healthcare
Qualifications
- Associate degree in medical technology, biology, chemistry, or related science.
- One year experience preferred.
- Certifications: ASCP, AMT, and/or NCA preferred or eligible.
Responsibilities
- Performs waived and non-waived complexity analysis of patient specimens for diagnostic purposes.
- Assists in quality control data monitoring and instrument maintenance.
- Participates in safety programs and policy/procedure reviews.
- Contributes to performance improvement processes within the assigned area.
