Job summary

NFPA Global Solutions is seeking a Lab Technician to join our fast-paced lab team in the United States. You will receive client samples, prepare specimens, perform tests, and maintain equipment while ensuring precise documentation and strict adherence to SOPs.

The role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently or with a team. Construction experience and MS Office proficiency are a plus, and applicants should be capable of lifting up to 50

What You'll Do:

• Receive and document client samples, ensuring accuracy and proper record-keeping.
• Prepare specimens for testing and conduct assigned tests with impartiality and precision.
• Maintain lab equipment and facilities, performing routine maintenance to ensure smooth operations.
• Report testing data to our technical team and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate.
• Follow all lab protocols and safety policies to maintain a high standard of quality and safety.

Skills We're Looking For:

• Strong attention to detail and a knack for accuracy in every task.
• Proficiency in using and maintaining lab equipment, as well as troubleshooting when necessary.
• Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) meticulously.
• Excellent organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

What You Bring:

• Some post-secondary education in Laboratory Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
• Construction or experience using hand tools.
• Previous lab and/or construction experience is highly preferred.
• A self-motivated attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working with hand and power tools.
• Prolonged periods of working at a computer or desk.
