Job summary

NFPA Global Solutions is seeking a dedicated Lab Technician to join our fast-paced lab. You will receive and document client samples, prepare specimens for testing, and report data to the technical team, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety policies.

The role requires post-secondary education in Laboratory Science or related field, experience with hand tools is a plus, and strong attention to detail. You will maintain equipment and collaborate with a team to meet deadlines in a hands-on

Qualifications

• Some post-secondary education in Laboratory Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
• Construction or experience using hand tools.
• Previous lab and/or construction experience is highly preferred.

What You'll Do

• Receive and document client samples, ensuring accuracy and proper record-keeping.

Skills We're Looking For

• Strong attention to detail and a knack for accuracy in every task.
• Proficiency in using and maintaining lab equipment, as well as troubleshooting when necessary.
• Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) meticulously.
• Excellent organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

What You Bring

• Some post-secondary education in Laboratory Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
• Construction or experience using hand tools.
• Previous lab and/or construction experience is highly preferred.
• A self-motivated attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working with hand and power tools.
• Prolonged periods of working at a computer or desk.
