Job summary

Pyramid Consulting, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Quality Control Technician I (Manufacturing/Quality) on 1st shift in Swiftwater, PA. This is a 12 months contract with potential for long-term engagement, onsite at the Swiftwater facility.

The role requires knowledge of microbiological techniques, tissue culture/sterility, and familiarity with cGMP. A Bachelor's in Microbiology or Biological Sciences with 1–2 years of QC experience is preferred, along with strong writing skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological testing and aseptic processing.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of the laboratory work area.
• Attend/speak at team meetings, department and safety meetings.
• Identify issues/trends in processes, assays, and equipment.
• Document results, manage waste disposal, and lab housekeeping.
• Set up and breakdown of equipment; ensure compliance.

Pay Range: $20 - $26/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of general Microbiological techniques including aseptic processing and culturing of both bacterial and viral isolates.
• Activities include assisting with maintaining safety and compliance of the laboratory work area; Performing cleaning of laboratories, equipment, and ancillary areas as required;
• Attending/Contributing to scheduled team meetings, department, and safety meetings.
• This position requires proficiency and understanding of the theory related to processes, assays, and equipment as well as the ability to identify issues/trends.
• Develop a working knowledge of appropriate compendia and/or regulatory guidance.
• Participation in various and assigned phases of Quality Control testing.
• Duties may include (but are not limited to): Visual Evaluation of vials, syringes, plates, bottles, and canisters.
• Setup and breakdown of equipment.
• Documentation, waste disposal, cleaning of laboratories, and all other activities as assigned.
• The candidate must pass an eye exam and receive vaccinations to be eligible for this position.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Must have skills: Knowledge of microbiological techniques

• Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology or Biological Sciences with 1-2 years of experience.
