Job summary

Johnson Service Group is seeking Lab Technicians to support Biotech Manufacturing for Animal Health Vaccines in Millsboro, DE. Pay is $22.33 per hour, with first, second, third and fourth shifts available. Responsibilities include cleaning work areas, preparing glassware, aseptic procedures, vaccine formulation, and documentation.

The role requires 1+ year lab experience, ability to follow GMP and SOPs, strong communication, and flexibility to rotate shifts based on manufacturing demand.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of lab experience.
• Ability to follow established procedures and complete work within your area.
• Good written and verbal communication to colleagues at various levels.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and conversions.
• Comfortable standing for long periods and working on your feet.
• Strong focus on safe work habits, GMP, and SOPs.
• Accurate, timely record keeping (charts, logbooks, etc.).
• Flexible, rotating schedule based on manufacturing demand (overtime/weekends).

Responsibilities

• Cleaning work areas (floors, walls, tables).
• Preparing/sterilizing glassware and equipment.
• Assisting with equipment setup/operation.
• Supporting aseptic procedures (formulation, fill setup/operations, environmental monitoring).
• Vaccine formulation/filling/labeling/capping/packaging/inspection.
• Assisting with training and reporting unusual occurrences.
• Support hazardous waste handling when trained.
• Assisting with SOP and production record review.

Job location: Millsboro, DE

Pay $22.33/hour

Required Skills

• 1+ year of lab experience
• Ability to apply established procedures to complete assigned work within your area
• Ability to recognize issues and use existing procedures to assess solutions
• Strong written and verbal communication skills (able to read, write, comprehend, and share information with colleagues at various levels)
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and conversions
• Comfortable working on your feet for long periods of time
• Strong focus on safe work habits and following company policies, GMP, and SOPs
• Ability to complete concurrent record keeping (charts, logbooks, and other documentation) accurately and on time

Nice to Have Skills

• Aseptic clean room behaviors experience
• General laboratory experience
• Biology or chemistry education background
• Mechanical aptitude

Preferred Education and Experience

• High School Diploma/GED with industry-related lab experience OR Bachelor’s degree with industry or academic lab experience

Other Requirements

• Must be able to work a flexible, rotating schedule based on manufacturing demand, including overtime, holidays, and weekends (days/hours may change as business needs shift)

Shift Hours

• 1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
• 2nd Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• 3rd Shift: 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM
• 4th Shift: 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM

On average, you’ll work two different adjacent shifts each week—flexibility is essential
