Job summary

Piedmont Rockdale Hospital is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform sample processing and venipuncture, ensuring accurate test results in a regulated laboratory environment. You will work under supervision of a licensed technologist/technician.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and 1 year of related experience, or current enrollment in a medical laboratory program as a substitute. None required for licenses.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist, laboratory processor, or laboratory assistant is required or
• Current enrollment in a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician program may substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests per CMS CLIA ’88, OSHA and applicable standards.
• Performs venipunctures and prepares blood specimens per Piedmont policies and procedures.
• Assists with clinical and non-clinical tasks under supervision to ensure accurate, reliable results.

Responsibilities:

Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and other applicable regulatory, established standards as may be applicable. Performs venipunctures, and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures. Assists with both clinical and non-clinical tasks while working under the direct supervision of a licensed medical technologist/ technician to ensure that accurate, reliable results are generated by the laboratory.
