Job summary

Piedmont-Healthcare in Columbus Midtown is seeking a Phlebotomist to support laboratory testing, specimen collection, and processing under supervision. This role emphasizes accuracy, regulatory compliance, and teamwork in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and prior experience or active enrollment in a Medical Laboratory program. Training on Piedmont procedures will be provided to ensure high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and other applicable regulatory, established standards as may be applicable. Performs venipunctures, and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures. Assists with both clinical and non-clinical tasks while working under the direct supervision of a licensed medical technologist/ technician to ensure that accurate, reliable results are generated by the laboratory.

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required

Work Experience

• 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist, laboratory processor, or laboratory assistant. Required or
• No experience required Current enrollment in a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician program may be substituted for experience Required
